Pinkabella Cupcakes | 1817 Queen Anne Ave N. | 206-856-1600
Just doors down from previously blogged La Reve, Pinkabella is the new moniker for Wink Cupcakes that opened last year. I must warn you now: when you open the door you’ll immediately be hit like a brick with the smell of sugary sweetness. It is undeniable. And it is delicious.
They have all kinds of cakes to choose from. The day we visited they were featuring red velvet, lemon, coconut, mud slide, and salted caramel on top of the usual suspects (think vanilla or chocolate cake with pink frosting and sprinkles). It was a hard choice to make but we decided to sample the following:
Mint chocolate chip (complete with Andes mint on top!)
Raspberry White Chocolate
The hands down favorite was the raspberry white chocolate. It was heavenly. Light and fluffy cake with a creamy frosting that wasn’t too rich. Perfection.
I do remember the last time I went into Wink Cupcakes they had Guinness and Champagne flavors. I wonder if Pinkabella still carries those varieties. I know I’d like to give them a try! What cupcake flavors do you like?
And hey, if you have any suggestions of where we can go to sample some more Queen Anne neighborhood sweets, just leave us a comment!
